Hi, I'm Dr. Lisa-Marie, the storyteller and strategist behind Learn.Grow.Pass.
On February 13, 2009, I started writing to survive a hard season. In 2015, I had a dream that I owned a business. When I woke up, I couldn't stop thinking about every detail of it. That dream was one of many catalysts on my self-discovery journey, and Learn.Grow.Pass is one of the phrases I wrote while trying to make sense of my purpose.
Learn.Grow.Pass is rooted in my family values.
My mother told me to read to learn. She told me if you’re going to do something, do it right. My family, particularly my mother, grandmother, and father demonstrated such generosity throughout their life that giving became second nature to me. I didn't know I was beginning to worldbuild, I just knew those three words–Learn.Grow.Pass–were true and served as my sensemaking approach.
Learn.Grow.Pass is a living collection of stories and strategies about people, place, and economic mobility. It is creative ephemera for worldbuilders like you. Every piece of writing, every playlist, every product in this ecosystem follows the same process.

I am a place-based multi-media storyteller and a geographer and geography is the lens through which I see everything. Place-based is an approach for understanding how we can leverage where we live for building solutions.
I founded Learn.Grow.Pass as an independent creative studio for creating books, templates, playlists, art, and roadmaps for worldbuilders who are ready to discover the bravery and agency needed to build beyond the status quo.
I'm on the journey with you because I speak the language of possibilities. And my analytic precision allows me to see what others miss.
